Akçaabat
Akçaabat, formerly Polathane, is a district of Trabzon province, east of Vakfıkebir and Çarşıbaşı, 13 km from Trabzon. It is located in the west, in the north of Düzköy and Maçka. Akçaabat, the 2nd largest district of Trabzon in terms of population, is famous for its meatballs and horon. Tobacco had a very important place in the district until the end of the 90s.
