Akkışla
Akkisla is a district of Kayseri province.
Akkışla was previously located within the borders of Sivas province, but after Kayseri became a province, it was connected to Pınarbaşı (Aziziye) district of Kayseri province. Then it was connected to Bünyan district and this situation continued until 1987. On 19 June 1987, it was registered as a district of Kayseri.
Municipality organisation in Akkisla was established in 1953. The district was named Akkışla by combining the word Ak because of the whiteness of the rocks in the north and Kışla because it is suitable for animals to stay outside in winter.
