Alacakaya
In 1935, it is a settlement center formed by the establishment of an operating facility by Etibank and the settlement of the people employed in the operation in the region. Alacakaya, which developed and grew with the expansion of the field of activity of the chromium plant over time, was transformed into a town municipality on December 30, 1986, while it was a village connected to Maden. Alacakaya gained district status with the law published in the official gazette dated 20.05.1990 and numbered 20523.
"Cherry marble", which is exported to various parts of the world, is mined in the district. Alacakaya is a district of Elazığ province.
