Anamur
Anamur is the westernmost district of Mersin province, bordering Antalya. Its name, Anemourion, derived from the Greek word "windmill", means "windy cape". The ancient city of Anemurium was founded at a point very close to the Anamur cape and constantly receiving wind.
Anamur is the farthest district from the provincial center in Turkey.
