Balya
Balya is a district of Balıkesir province.
It is famous for its butter. Its population has decreased in recent years. While its population used to be 36,000, it suffered an industrial decline. Industries such as mining, especially ceramic factories, have closed. As a result of this reason, many Balyans left the district. However, plans to establish mines and factories in the coming years continue.
