Baykan

Baykan

Baykan is a district of Siirt Province.

Baykan District was established with the law dated 20.05.1938 and numbered 3393 in Tütenocak, which is still a village connected to the District Center. In 1949, the District Center was transferred to "Havil Hanlar", which has a historical background on the Diyarbakır-Bitlis state highway. Later, the name of the district was changed to Baykan.
