Çayırlı

Çayırlı is one of the 9 districts of Erzincan province. It is not known exactly when the district was first settled. Together with Erzincan, it came under the sovereignty of various states from time to time. The region, which was under the rule of Timur for a while, passed to the Akkoyunlu after Timur's withdrawal and to the Ottoman Empire after the Battle of Otlukbeli in 1473. In 1915, the district remained in the hands of the Russians, and after their withdrawal, the Armenians, and on February 20, 1918, it rejoined the motherland. Until June 1954, it was a sub-parish of Tercan district under the name of Mans and became a district on this date.
