Çınar
Çınar is a district of Diyarbakır province.
Çınar, which was a large village in the first years of the Republic, became an independent district on June 23, 1937, with Law No. 3223. Previously called "Melkis" and its center was later moved to near the "Hanakpınar" neighborhood, the district was known as "Akpınar" and "Hanakpınar" before 1937.
