Daday

Daday is a district of Kastamonu province located in the Black Sea Region of the Republic of Turkey.

Daday is 34 km from Kastamonu city center and has 60 villages. With an area of 973 km², the total population of the district is 8,217. The district, which joined the Ottoman lands during the reign of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, has a historical government mansion built in 1891. The majority of the people make their living from agriculture and animal husbandry.
