Efeler
Efeler is the largest and central district of Aydın province. It was established as a result of the abolition of the central district of Aydın with the law no. 6360 adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 November 2012. Atatürk City Square and Aydın Metropolitan Municipality building are located in the district. There are also two shopping malls, Forum Aydın and Kipa AVM. The central campus of Aydın Adnan Menderes University is located in this district. The oldest known notated song in history was discovered in the Ancient City of Tralleis, located within the borders of Efeler district. The work belongs to Seikilos and its name is "Seikilos Lament". Seikilos Requiem is exhibited in the National Museum of Copenhagen, Denmark. The chairman of Efeler Municipality, which was established by Law No. 6360 accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly, is Mehmet Fatih Atay.
