Elbeyli is a district of Kilis province.

It was founded by nomads belonging to the Elbeyli Turkmen tribe of the Alkırevli tribe of the Oghuzs. People belonging to this Turkmen tribe have different settlements in Turkey and Syria. Elbeyli District was under the rule of the Great Seljuk Empire between 1040 and 1157, then under the rule of the Ilkhanids and Dulkadiroğlu's respectively, and then under the rule of the Ottoman Empire after the Battle of Mercidâbık in 1516.

In the early years of the Republic, it was a village in the Cerablus accident of Syria, but after the National Pledge of Allegiance, when Cerablus remained within the borders of Syria, it was connected to Kilis district of Gaziantep as a village in 1931. In 1946, it was connected to Oğuzeli, which was made a district, and in 1995, when Kilis became a province, it was again connected to Kilis province as a district.

The name of Elbeyli district was "Alimantar" when it was a village.
