Enez
Enez is a district of the province of Edirne in Turkey, as well as the town in the center of the district. It is located on a peninsula on the northern coast of the Aegean Sea, where the Meriç River flows into the sea, surrounded by Ipsala district 21 km to the north, Keşan district 60 km to the east, the Aegean Sea to the south and west, and the civil and national border with Greece. In total, the district has 30 km of maritime and 44 km of territorial borders. The total population of Enez district is 11.066 according to the 2011 census and its surface area is 473 km2.
Enez district generally has a Mediterranean climate. Spring and fall months are rainy and winters are harsh and dry. Although there is little snow in winter, a humid weather prevails.
