It is 53 km away from the city center. Although the exact date of the establishment of Eruh is not known, it was under the rule of Urartu, then Medes, Persians, Seljuks and Ottoman Empires since 1000 BC and joined the Ottoman lands together with the region at the time of Yavuz Sultan Selim. It is fixed with historical records that Eruh is one of the oldest districts of Siirt: The Diyarbekir Salnament dated 1288 AH, 1872 AD lists the Eruh District among the four districts of Siirt Sanjak; the Bitlis Salnament dated 1315 AH, 1899 AD records that Eruh was a district of Siirt Sanjak and had three sub-districts named Dergül, Lodi and Fındık, and it is understood that Pervari District was separated from Eruh and became a separate district between both dates. Some villages are Garisi and they are related to the leaders of the Sindi tribe in Zaho, Northern Iraq. With the establishment of the Republic, Eruh was given the status of a district of Siirt, which became a province.
