Evciler
Pets is a district of Afyonkarahisar Province. It was established on a flat area 132 km from Afyonkarahisar. It became a district in 1991. It is on the Afyonkarahisar-Denizli highway. It is understood from the fragments found in the surrounding mounds that its history dates back to the Lydians. Today, there are two mounds known as Kocahöyük and Küçükhöyük, and two ruins named Öküzviran and Kocaviran. The Hittites extended from the Aegean to the eastern shores of the Mediterranean during the reign of Suppiluliuam in the Neo-Hittite period and established the most powerful empire of the Near Asia. It is said that after the collapse of the Mira Kuvalya Kingdom, the village of Kapak joined the Kingdom of the Seha River and remained in the hands of this kingdom for a very short time.
