Foça
Foça is a municipality and district of Izmir province in Turkey. It has an area of 251 km2 and a population of 34,946 (2022). Foça district is located on the Aegean coast, approximately 69 km (43 mi) northwest of Izmir city center. In the district there is a settlement and former municipality called Yenifoça, also along the coast and 20 km (12 mi) from Foça. For this reason, Foça itself is often referred to as Eskifoça in everyday language. The town was founded on the ancient Greek city of Phocaea.
