Gediz is a district of Kütahya Province. The district is located 90 kilometers southwest of Kütahya. It is 45 kilometers away from Uşak, which is a closer province. As of 31.12.2020, the population of the district center is 24,669 and the population of towns and villages is 25,118, making the total population of the district 49,787. Its surface area is 1442 km² and its height above sea level is 736 meters. Contrary to the general climate of Kütahya, it has a milder climate; it is the district with the highest average temperature in Kütahya. Murat Mountain thermal springs and Ilıca thermal springs are located in the district.
