Hacılar
Hacılar is a district of Kayseri province.
The clans who founded Hacılar village came here in the 15th century from Hacılar village and its neighbourhood in Kozan district of Adana.
The people of Hacılar first settled in the "Dört Kuyular" location of Beğendik neighbourhood within the borders of the district between 1411-1500, and then they left the Dört Kuyular location where they settled in 1726 as a result of the pressure of the Avşars who established great activity in Kayseri region and settled where they are now.
Hacılar, which was administratively connected to Kayseri Central District and then to Melikgazi District, became a district as of 09 September 1991 with the Law No. 3647 published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 1990.
