Havran is a district of Balıkesir province in the Gulf region. It is known for its Höşmerim, Leblebisi and Çanakkale hero Koca Seyit. It has no coast to the sea. Historically, it is famous for its mansions. It was once known for its bat colony with a population of 20,000, which was affected by the construction of a dam.
