Horasan
Horasan is a district and district center city in Erzurum province. Horasan district is surrounded by the provinces of Kars to the north and east, Ağrı to the southeast, Karayazı to the south, Köprüköy and Pasinler to the west, and Narman to the northwest.
Until 1954, it was a sub-district of Pasinler, but in this year it was made the district center. Horasan Municipality was established in 1952. On October 30, 1983, an earthquake (1983 Erzurum Earthquake) caused great damage in the city.
