Kadışehri

Kadışehri is a district of Yozgat province. Kadışehri is located in the northeast of the province. In the east; Tokat-Artova, Sivas-Yıldızeli, in the south; Akdağmadeni and Saraykent, in the west; Çekerek is surrounded by Tokat-Zile districts in the north. It became a district under the name of Devecidağı with the Law No. 78 on the Organization of İlisu, Devecidağı and Arkikova Districts dated 23 May 1336, and became a township with the name of Kadışehri again with the Law on Organization of Civil Registration No. 877 dated 30 May 1926. The region, which was connected to Sorgun district of Yozgat with Çekerek in 1928, was connected to this district in 1944 when Çekerek became a district. While it was a township within the Çekerek district, it became a district again with the law no. 3644 dated 09.05.1990.
