First day

We can spend our first day in Kars in the city center of Kars. Because in the city center there are many places to visit and many things to see!

We can start the day by seeing the Old Ottoman settlement in Kaleici Neighborhood. Then, let's see Ortakapı, Cumhuriyet and Yusufpaşa neighborhoods with a grid plan during the period when Kars was under the rule of Tsarist Russia.

After having a unique goose meat for lunch, we can continue to explore Kars from the Archeology Museum located in the west of the city. In the museum, you can see works belonging to the Paleolithic Period, Early Bronze Age, Urartian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods.

How would you like to take a break in Kars Castle and watch Kars with a warm cup of tea? Our next stop after the break is the Kümbet Mosque, which was built as an Armenian church in the 10th century and converted into a mosque in the 11th century, to the south of Kars Castle! The last stop of the first day, at the end of the 19th century, the Russian Tsar II. It could be the Katerina Hunting Lodge, built by Nicholas in the Baltic architectural style!

The second day

We should spend part of the second day in Kars in Ani Ruins. Because it is impossible not to come to Kars and not go without seeing the Ani Ruins and those unique ruins! It is possible to reach Ani, on the border of Armenia, with a 1-hour journey from Kars city center.

It may take several hours to explore the Ani Ruins and see the valuable artifacts there. Then Lake Çıldır seems like the best option for lunch!

Lake Çıldır seems to be the best option because this lake, which freezes in winter and allows walking on it, is also home to delicious Yellow Fish. These Yellow Fishes, which have a unique flavor like cheddar cheese and goose meat unique to Kars, are among the flavors we must taste when we come to Kars!

Towards the end of the day, it is necessary to return to Kars. In the evening, you can attend an event unique to Kars that you can't find anywhere else: Aşık concert.
