Mezitli
Mezitli is one of the four central districts of Mersin Province.
It is affiliated to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality. In 2008, the district organization was established. Its total area is 515.79 km² and its altitude is 5 m. It is 11 km from the center. There are Erdemli in the west, Yenişehir in the east and Toroslar in the north. The district consists of 40 neighborhoods. The largest of these neighborhoods is Merkez Neighborhood with a population of 26,420 and the smallest neighborhood is Pelitkoyağı Neighborhood with a population of 128. The total number of buildings is 8,849, the total number of parcels is 13,324 and the total number of households is 78,889. The district is developed in terms of tourism. Mersin University's Çiftlikköy (Central) Campus is located in this district. It is a developed and modern district along the coast. It is mostly populated by locals of Mersin and university students.
