Odunpazarı

Odunpazarı is a district of Eskişehir. It is the first settlement of the city. It is located in Eskişehir city center and has a higher elevation than other districts. According to a rumor, the first people who thought of settling in Eskişehir hung a sheep's liver in the area where Odunpazarı and the current Porsuk Stream are located. Whichever one lasts the longest will be chosen as a residential area. The liver hung in Odunpazarı deteriorated later and the first settlement was formed here.
