Sarıgöl

It is not known exactly when the Sarıgöl district was founded. According to rumors among the people, this residential area of the district was a lake below sea level. The ruins both around the district and in the villages of the district show that the history of the environment is very old. Although no written inscriptions are found, the traces (foundation ruins) of the accommodation area (Han Fountain) in Dadağlı village Alafakı location and the cemetery around it show that there was a civilization before Christ. The ruins of a burnt village in the Çarsak region of Dindarlı village and the cemetery on the Buldan road belonging to this village (later turned into a field), the Latin inscriptions found on the stones in this cemetery, the Kulu fountain of the same village and the ruins of buildings around it, the copper coins, jars, various jugs found here, the remains of Ionians or Lydians. He clearly states that he is dominant. The Süğmezli Fountain and the building ruins around it in the eastern part of Emcelli village, the remains of a four-cornered well, and the places for mooring boats carved into the rocks are evidence that the current plain is a lake.
