Sürmene
Sürmene is a municipality and district of Trabzon province. Its surface area is 166 km² and its population is 25,950. In ancient times the town of Hyssus or Hyssos was nearby. The Mayor is Rahmi Üstün. Sürmene is located approximately 40 km east of Trabzon.
