Talas; It is one of the central districts of Kayseri province.
The history of Talas dates back to 1500 BC. The district, (1500 BC) Mazaks, (510 BC) Cappadocians, (312 BC) Cyrus, (335 BC) Alexander's invasion, (37 BC to 1107 BC) Romans, (37 BC to 1107 BC) Alpaslan dominated in 1070, Talas name was mentioned for the first time as Moutalaske while talking about St Sabastan.
