Turgutlu

Turgutlu is one of the districts of Manisa province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. Turgutlu; It is surrounded by Ahmetli in the east, Manisa and Kemalpaşa in the west, Saruhanlı in the north, Ödemiş and Bayındır districts in the south. It is 55 km east of the Aegean Sea and its altitude is 78 meters above sea level. Its surface area is 530 km2. According to 2022 data, its population is 175,401 people. Turgutlu, Sultan II. It was founded by the Turgud Tribe who settled around Dalbahçe Village during the Murat Period [citation needed] and over time, it descended to the plain and took its present location. Turgutlu was occupied 10 days after the Greek occupation of Izmir. From this date until September 7, 1922, the district remained under occupation. After the War of Independence, when the Greek military withdrew from the district, they burned all its neighborhoods except Bozkurt and Küllük Neighborhoods.
