Üzümlü

Üzümlü is one of the 9 districts of Erzincan.

Its old name is Cimin. Since the beginning of the 2000s, the population has been migrating rather than migrating. There is Altınbaşak town connected to the district. The total number of towns and villages is 24.

Erzincan Center district is located in the west, Tercan in the east, Çayırlı in the north, and Pülümür district of Tunceli province in the south. There is Altıntepe castle dating from the Urartian period in the district. It is famous for its unique fragrant black grape. And this grape is unique in the world. It has the world's first and only patented grape, the Cimin Grape. In Altıntepe Castle near Üzümlü, excavations have been carried out since 2003 under the direction of Mehmet Karaosmanoğlu, a faculty member of Atatürk University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Archaeology. The castle was used during the Urartian, Persian, Byzantine and Anatolian Seljuk periods. Remains of a temple, reception hall/Apadana, Open Air Temple, 3 chamber tombs built with stones underground, fortification walls and stone foundations of the entrance gate from the Urartu Period (850-600 BC) can be seen in the castle. There is a church structure and fortification walls from the Byzantine period.

Established in 1930 as a town municipality and connected to the central district of Erzincan, Üzümlü became a district in 1987.
